We love travelling in Spain which surely must be one of the most beautiful countries in the world, with wonderful old buildings, fascinating cities, incredibly varied countryside, and populated by friendly Spanish people. Great, nearly empty, motorways and main roads makes travel fast and safe.

El Pais in 2018 noted what their readers reckoned where the 30 most beautiful villages in Spain. We have been to many but still have some way to go. These thirty places are listed here with those we’ve visited indicated.

Our main journeys are listed below, where we have recorded our trips and photos, but also added internet links including some super videos which show these towns, cities and the country far better than we can with our amateur pictures and incomplete narrative.
